It is very important for all members to attend Commissioning Day.  As the club goes into commission, a Veteran's Ceremony honors those who have sacrificed their lives so that we can enjoy a high standard of living that includes boating.

Our 97th Anniversary Celebration will honor the longevity of the club, and solidify its place on the waterfront amidst increasing pressure of private development. Our place in the community is well established, and will continue for many decades to come. This is a time for all members to come together to show pride in their club and all it represents. 

In light of this the club asks that members be especially diligent about preparing boats for launching before May 9th.

This year the Hudson River Boat & Yacht Club Association's annual Brunch will be held on May 6th. Cost is only $30 per person. OBCC is very active in this organization so all members are encouraged to attend.  It is a great way to meet boaters from other clubs on the Hudson.
